Ivan Vassilev is Deputy Mayor in the Finance and Healthcare Department and has many years of expertise in the field of economics and finance, as well as in the creation and management of economic policies. Ivan Vassilev has worked as Director of Policies and Strategies and was a member of the Board of the Bulgarian Startup Association BESCO. He is a co-author of the amendments to the Commercial Law related to the creation of a new type of company – a Variable Capital Company, as well as of the amendments stimulating the attraction of highly qualified specialists from abroad. The focus of his work is the transformation of the country’s economy towards high value-added industries. Previously, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the first Bulgarian decentralized autonomous organization, Komrad Cooperative. Vassilev also has extensive experience in the creation of software products in the field of artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies. Ivan Vassilev has administrative experience as a senior expert to the Secretary for Health, Education and Science in the Presidential Administration between 2012 and 2015. He speaks English and uses German and Russian. She holds a Master’s degree in Finance and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of National and World Economy.
Lawyer Hristo Koparanovhas been a municipal councillor since 2023 from the “Save Sofia” group. He has many years of experience in public administration and in his practice as a lawyer. He was an expert at the Commission for Protection of Competition and a director at the Communications Regulation Commission. In his work in the state administration and as a lawyer, Hristo Koparanov has participated in the drafting and adoption of a number of normative acts or their amendments, as well as in public consultations on normative acts. His practice focuses primarily on competition, consumer protection, human rights, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property. Koparanov has experience working with a number of regulatory bodies as well as a number of NGOs. Hristo Koparanov has participated in numerous marathons and mountain ultramarathons, both in Bulgaria and in a number of other countries. Apart from marathon running, he is also an amateur cyclist and hiker. It places as top priorities for amateur sport providing facilities for sport throughout and around the city, as well as making sport accessible to all, including vulnerable groups facing different challenges.
Dimitar Petrov is a municipal councillor from political party PP, the rest of the time – lawyer and mountain climber. An avid cyclist, with many completed marathons and ultramarathons in the past years, his main focus as part of the Board of the Foundation is the development of grassroots amateur sport. He is actively involved in improving the urban environment, developing cycling infrastructure in Sofia and developing access to the mountains around Sofia.
