Lawyer Hristo Koparanov has been a municipal councillor since 2023 from the “Save Sofia” group. He has many years of experience in public administration and in his practice as a lawyer. He was an expert at the Commission for Protection of Competition and a director at the Communications Regulation Commission. In his work in the state administration and as a lawyer, Hristo Koparanov has participated in the drafting and adoption of a number of normative acts or their amendments, as well as in public consultations on normative acts. His practice focuses primarily on competition, consumer protection, human rights, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property. Koparanov has experience working with a number of regulatory bodies as well as a number of NGOs. Hristo Koparanov has participated in numerous marathons and mountain ultramarathons, both in Bulgaria and in a number of other countries. Apart from marathon running, he is also an amateur cyclist and hiker. It places as top priorities for amateur sport providing facilities for sport throughout and around the city, as well as making sport accessible to all, including vulnerable groups facing different challenges.
